Bio
Growing up in rural Ontario meant that you had to rely on imagination and make-believe to reach the stars.
Always in love with reading books and drawing. Rhys’ love for storytelling sparked when he received a copy of The Hobbit for his birthday. It wasn't long before he was drawing and writing his own stories, designing maps, monsters and heroes, and taking his friends on adventures with table-top role-playing games.
Beginning in the comic book industry, Rhys started working on Marvel Comic’s Deadpool, and has since been involved with ThunderCats, G.I. Joe, Battle of the Planets, Vampirella, Robotech, and a number of other exciting titles. His journey has taken him into the television/film, animation and video game industries – notably to work on The Secret World, FarCry 5, the television series The Expanse, V-Wars, Polar, Titans, and designing the look of the new Nickelodeon series Blue’s Clues and You.
"Blue's Clues and You" was nominated for a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Preschool Children's Series and Outstanding Interactive Media for a Daytime Program.
As a life-long Star Trek fan, Rhys was thrilled to be invited to develop concept art for the new series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
Currently, Rhys works as a designer & illustrator for film and television, and is developing his own animated television series, graphic novel and role-playing game.
