Bio

Salgood Sam is Max Douglas reversed. I've been making comics and art for over three decades now, and also taught art for 7 years at Syn Studio in Montreal, which was some of the most rewarding work ever. I'm possibly most well known for ‘Therefore, Repent!’ With Jim Munroe; most proud of my self published ‘Dream Life: a late coming of age, book one’ and ‘Revolver’ One and Zero.

Beyond that I have over 30 published comics stories and titles to my credit, the most recent is ‘Dracula: Son of the Dragon’, with Mark Sable published by Dark Horse! And since late 2019 I've been working in animation to pay the bills, designing props and supervising at Sphere Animation in Montreal [formally Oasis Studios].

Past clients and publishers include Image Comics, Dark Horse Comics & ComiXology, IDW & NMK, Marvel & DC, Paradox Press, Mr Comics & Beckett Comics. The Criterion Collection, Bravo TV, Nokia, Fox Kids, Netflix, ABB robotics, Aurora Cannabis Inc, Nelvana Studios, TVA collage & Scholastic!

I wanted to be a scientist first, but the councilors told me I had no chance so I went into the family Business, the arts. The comics I make for myself now, it's my love language. But I love having done so many other commercial art jobs, the change and learning and challenges are something I thrive on.
