The Concept Art Association Collection at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Margaret Herrick Library
The Concept Art Association is pleased to announce that we have partnered with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and have been curating an archive of concept art that is housed at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Margaret Herrick Library. Concept art in the collection will be available for educational and curatorial purposes, furthering the Concept Art Association’s mission of elevating concept artists and associating their names with their artwork in as many places as possible.
The Concept Art Association collection is an important bridge collection for the Academy as it represents the digital revolution that is quickly changing the archival landscape and the Library’s holdings.
The Margaret Herrick Library is a world-renowned, non-circulating reference and research collection devoted to the history and development of the motion picture as an art form and an industry.
Established in 1928 and now located in Beverly Hills, the library is open to the public and used year-round by students, scholars, historians and industry professionals.
